Occupation therapist observe patients doing tasks, ask them questions, and review their medical history. Evaluate a patient's condition and needs. Develop a treatment plan for patients, laying out the types of activities and specific goals to be accomplished.

Salary: Occupational therapists earned an average annual wage of $83,730 in 2016. They have a comparable salary to physical therapists, who brought home an average of $87,220 in 2016. However, they make more than occupational therapy assistants ($59,530) and registered nurses ($72,180).                 

Depending on the requirements of your chosen graduate school, you may need to earn a bachelor's degree specifically in occupational therapy. However, most will accept a four-year undergraduate degree in biology, psychology, sociologykinesiologyhealthscience, or even liberal arts.
