Optometry Technician 

An optometric technician works under the supervision of an optometrist or ophthalmologist. In the Optometric Technician program at Madison College, instructors train students to work in eye care, emphasizing the unique duties required of an optometric technician to provide quality vision care services to patients.

They make about $14.04 - $24.88, if they work overtime. They make $9. 76 - $16.60 by the hour, and they get tipped $1.04. 

The degree for the doctor of optometry is needed to be a qualified optometrist. It is a bachelors degree than spans four years of education. Requirements for this include studies in standard liberal arts courses, biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics.
